What You Will Do

Managing Consultant: As a Manager, you are a team player, people developer, and strategy practitioner – leading with analytical excellence, strategic dominance, structured problem-solving, and poised planning. Your experience includes advising and helping Payer/Provider clients execute on strategic planning, business model strategy, operating model strategy/design, competitive agility, enterprise transformation, cost reductions/ZBx, M&A, service line strategy, product strategy, and innovation.

Associate Director: As an Associate Director, you are a team player, people developer, and strategy practitioner – leading and serving with analytical excellence, strategic dominance, structured problem-solving, and poised planning. You are a leader and strategic driver within the Healthcare Strategy practice, with advanced expertise in strategy, project leadership, and people development, adept at managing multiple complex projects simultaneously. A core expectation is to serve as a master practitioner and teacher, using an apprenticeship model to develop the next generation of consulting leaders, actively coaching Managers and junior consultants in foundational and advanced skills of strategy consulting through deliberate practice, feedback, and structured skill-building.

Qualifications

Managing Consultant – What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of consulting or relevant work experience
  • Track record of creative problem-solving, self-motivation, and analytical prowess
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent financial and quantitative analysis skills with experience in business case development and modeling
  • Entrepreneurial spirit in fueling Guidehouse's growing healthcare practice
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient in PowerBI, Tableau and/or Alteryx
  • Ability to travel as needed; up to 75%

Managing Consultant – What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • MBA or MHA (MBA highly preferred)
  • Experience in the Healthcare Payer or Provider industry
  • Healthcare Industry affiliations
  • Experience in AI, Cloud, and/or Machine Learning

Associate Director – What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 7+ years of strategy consulting experience in top-tier or boutique consulting, with a focus on healthcare payer/provider industry
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple, complex projects and leading cross-functional teams
  • Advanced strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilities
  • Proficiency in data analytics tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau, Alteryx) and financial modeling
  • Willingness to travel as required

Associate Director – What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Master's in Business Administration (MBA) highly preferred
  • Master's in Healthcare Administration (MHA) or related advanced degree
  • Experience with AI, cloud, or machine learning in healthcare
  • Active participation in healthcare industry associations

Pay

The annual salary range for this position is $118,000.00–$196,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
