The Opportunity

We are looking for a builder, not a caretaker. The Managing Attorney is the business owner of our North Carolina market, accountable for performance from the moment a case is signed through final resolution and file closure. This is not a supervisory title; it is a seat with real authority, real accountability, and real upside.

You will own the state P&L: hit fee and case volume goals, align costs with growth, and bring analytical rigor to your pipeline and case mix.

You will own case outcomes across the full lifecycle, from pre-suit through litigation, trial, settlement, disbursement, and file closure.

You will lead litigation and trial strategy for your state, personally taking the most complex and highest-value cases to trial when appropriate.

You will drive settlement performance, working toward resolution within the firm's 60-to-90-day target window.

You will recruit, develop, and retain attorneys, paralegals, case managers, and support staff, building a culture of accountability and ownership.

You will execute firm-wide standards and operating cadences while owning the state-specific adaptations that make them work in your market.

You will ensure full legal, ethical, and compliance oversight across every function in your state.

You will report to the COO with regular state performance updates and data-driven KPI tracking.
