About the role
The Managing Attorney oversees the day-to-day activities of the Twin Falls Office, supervising and mentoring attorneys and support staff, engaging in direct representation of clients, and ensuring compliance with ILAS policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Work with attorneys and support staff to ensure compliance with ILAS policies and procedures related to client cases, office conduct, and administrative deadlines.
- Evaluate and review staff attorney performance of oral and written advocacy.
- Use ILAS’s case management system, including periodic review of cases.
- Effectively communicate ILAS policies and procedures to staff.
- Effectively coach staff to meet expectations.
- Work with the Executive and Deputy Directors to ensure effective representation and compliance with ILAS policies and the Idaho State Bar Rules of Professional Conduct.
- Promote a respectful workplace and foster cooperation among staff.
- Provide staff with consistent and ongoing performance feedback.
- Monitor the office’s budget and expenses.
- Identify issues within the office that affect clients and/or staff.
- Collaborate with the Deputy Director to identify training needs of staff.
- Represent survivors of domestic or sexual violence, dating violence, and stalking with their civil legal needs.
- Serve clients in housing law.
- Provide representation in elder law matters.
Requirements
Requires a JD degree from an ABA-accredited law school, admission to the Idaho State Bar, and at least five years of relevant legal experience, preferably in civil legal services.

Pay
$80,000 to $110,000 DOE
Schedule
Full-time position of 37.5 hours per week.
