Managing Attorney
About the role
Modern Family Law is a rapidly expanding national law firm specializing in Family Law. We are currently seeking a driven, compassionate, and experienced Managing Attorney to join our team in Petaluma, CA. This role is hybrid, requiring the Managing Attorney to live within driving distance of our office.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations, productivity, and profitability of the Petaluma office.
- Lead, mentor, and develop legal staff through training, motivation, and support.
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and HR on recruitment and policy compliance.
- Cook up with other leaders to ensure cross-departmental support.
- Conduct client consultations and provide legal advice on family law matters.
- Represent clients in court, prepare legal documents, and negotiate settlements.
Requirements
- Five (5) or more years of devoted Family Law experience preferred.
- Must be within commuting distance to our Petaluma, CA office.
- Skilled in mentoring and leading a team, while fostering collaboration.
- Exceptional writing and communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Able to manage multiple priorities with a client-focused mindset.
- Proficient in client counseling, case prep, case management, and courtroom representation.
- Clear and effective verbal and written legal communication.
- Able to manage multiple priorities efficiently.

Pay
The pay range for this position in this location is $220,000 - $320,350. Additionally, We are currently offering a $25,000 signing bonus and relocation package. The structure presented is a reliable estimate of the base salary plus potential commissions based on billable hours and collections that this individual is expected to receive. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, location, billable hour expectations, and other job-related factors as permitted by law.
