Managing Attorney

Overview

Modern Family Law is a rapidly expanding national law firm specializing in Family Law, currently offering a $25,000 signing bonus and relocation package. We are seeking a driven, compassionate, and experienced Managing Attorney to join our team in McLean, VA.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations, productivity, and profitability of the McLean, VA office.
• Lead, mentor, and develop legal staff through training, motivation, and support.
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and HR on recruitment and policy compliance.
• Cook up with other leaders to ensure cross-departmental support.
• Conduct client consultations and provide legal advice on family law matters.
• Represent clients in court, prepare legal documents, and negotiate settlements.

Requirements

• Five (5) or more years of devoted Family Law experience preferred.
• Must be within commuting distance to our McLean, VA office.
• Skilled in mentoring and leading a team, while fostering collaboration.
• Exceptional writing and communication skills with strong attention to detail.
• Able to manage multiple priorities with a client-focused mindset.
• Proficient in client counseling, case prep, case management, and courtroom representation.
• Clear and effective verbal and written legal communication.
• Able to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
• Committed to delivering excellent client service.
• Active admission to the Virginia State Bar.
