Manager, Volunteers
This is a Limited Term role - 36 weeks.
About the role
Plans, organizes, and directs all aspects of volunteer services which includes, but is not limited to, recruitment, orientation, utilization, and support of volunteers and education, and training and support of employees in volunteer labor issues. Plans and organizes volunteer operations and resources to ensure effective and efficient delivery of patient care consistent with applicable laws, standards and regulations. Establishes protocols and practices, ensuring compliance with department, affiliate, operating unit, and/or system standards, policies and procedures, The Joint Commission (TJC) standards, and applicable laws and regulations. Develops and maintains a solid partnership with internal and external peers, leaders, and/or local/state/federal agencies to facilitate and collaborate on initiatives or issues resolution.

Responsibilities
- Lead, teach, and develop a team in a non-profit organization.
- Work in an inter-generational and multi-cultural environment.
- Understand systems and function in a support role within a complex, large organization.
- Plan and coordinate patient care consistent with applicable laws, standards, and regulations.
- Interpret and implement state/federal/local and accreditation standards and requirements.
- Demonstrate solid clinical proficiency and knowledge.
- Prioritize multiple projects while delivering quality service and achieving business results.
- Foster an inclusive work environment respecting cultural and linguistic differences.
- Motivate and engage others through team building, coaching, and mentoring.
Requirements
- Associate's, Bachelor's, or Master's degree (equivalent experience accepted in lieu of degree).
- 8 years of recent relevant experience.
- 3-4 years of experience leading teams in a non-profit organization (preferred).
- Knowledge of accepted business practices including budgeting and budget reporting.
- People and motivational skills.
- Solid organizational and time management skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Customer service focus in all decisions and actions.
- Ability to work/interact with a diverse population.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including team building and coaching/mentoring.
Schedule
- Full Time (40 hours per week).
- Monday - Friday.
- Weekend requirements as needed.
Pay
Pay Range is $97,032.00 to $145,558.40 annual salary. The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs.
