The Manager of Visual Merchandising is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of in-store visual programs and events across multiple brands (Shiseido, Clé de Peau Beauté, NARS, Drunk Elephant) and retail partners (Bloomingdale’s, Nordstrom, Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, Saks, Macy’s, Sephora, etc.). This role requires delivering speed-to-market design programs, optimizing cost, and supporting business priorities. The ideal candidate must be proficient in 2D/3D design, have excellent communication skills, and possess a sophisticated aesthetic suited for luxury and prestige audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Managers of Visual Merchandising to concept, design, project manage, implement, and roll out merchandising programs and initiatives across retail environments.
  • Adapt seasonal global concepts to create 2D & 3D design proposals for U.S.-specific retail channels, including department store visual weeks, retail outposts, pop-ups, and in-store events.
  • Create schematic design drawings, 3D renderings, and planograms for global HQ, U.S. cross-functional partners, and retailer approvals.
  • Provide consistent communication and transparency with brands and cross-functional partners in a shared service environment.
  • Manage and collaborate with vendors to produce, price, and value engineer on-counter visual merchandising elements.
  • Execute graphic design based on brand assets and copy, including preparing print-ready artwork for packaging.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3–5 years of visual merchandising experience in the beauty or fashion industry, with an emphasis on both 2D & 3D design, planograms, and packaging artwork.
  • High proficiency in SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of mechanical engineering, display materials, and production processes.
  • Graphic design skills, including typography, layout, and preparing print-ready artwork.
  • Diversified portfolio demonstrating success with VM program development and implementation in specialty, department store, and open-sell environments.
  • Ability to work independently, creatively problem-solve, and thrive in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build effective cross-functional partnerships.

Pay

Salary: $94,080 – $129,360 per year. The base pay for this position may vary based on geographic location. Actual base pay offered will be based on job-specific knowledge, education, skills, and depth of experience. In addition to base pay, we may offer participation in our bonus program and a full range of competitive benefits.
