About the Role

Directly supervise non-licensed staff working in the Virtual Monitoring Hub. Oversee the Virtual Monitoring team and hub in its daily operations, identifying, evaluating, and responding to the changing needs of patients and the operational needs of Prisma Health. Collaborate effectively with stakeholders, clinical leaders, and caregivers to maintain an effective and well-functioning system that accomplishes program goals and outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 24-hour operational accountability for the Virtual Monitoring program under the direction of the Executive Director of Ancillary Services.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director, Nurse Managers, nursing leaders, and hub leads to develop and oversee a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and a high-performing work environment for staff.
  • Oversee all staff-related matters and operate within budgetary guidelines while enhancing safe, quality patient-centered care.
  • Supervise virtual monitoring staff, including selection, development, and performance management to achieve staff experience, clinical, patient experience, quality, and financial goals.
  • Assess staff and patient educational needs in collaboration with hub leads and develop training programs to meet those needs.
  • Identify key drivers in utilization and continuously evaluate care processes and patient outcomes for improvement opportunities.
  • Manage staffing, quality improvement, fiscal management, team member accountability, coaching, mentoring, and ongoing education.
  • Support hub staff and provide oversight for day-to-day operations, including staffing, troubleshooting IT/IS downtimes, and identifying care delivery priorities.
  • Maintain understanding of hospital policies and protocols, demonstrating competency and compliance with regulatory expectations.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary departments to eliminate barriers to efficient care delivery.
  • Build a network of positive working relationships that advocates for patients and promotes program growth.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director to review data and metrics, setting expectations and goals for sitter cost, fall rate, usage, and satisfaction.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent; healthcare-related Associate's degree preferred.
  • Three (3) years of related experience.
  • Leadership/Managerial experience preferred.
  • Experience with video monitoring, health technologies, and healthcare processes/workflows in clinical environments preferred.

In lieu of the education and experience requirements noted above, a high school diploma/GED with 5 years of experience in an associated healthcare position is acceptable.

  • Proficiency with office software and team management tools.
  • Previous Virtual Monitoring experience.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
