Manager, Transportation Dispatch - 250 Day

About the role

This is a skilled, first-line supervisory position responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, and supervising operations. You will relay information between the Dispatch Center, school bus operations, school administration, and the general public.

The role ensures coverage of school bus routes aligns with the Transportation Department’s mission to provide safe, efficient, and on-time student transport to and from school. You will also maintain high-volume radio and telephone communications to the standards of the Transportation Department and School Division.

This position reports to the Dispatch Services Coordinator.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and coordinate school bus route coverage to ensure safe, efficient, and on-time service.
• Supervise and relay information between the Dispatch Center, school bus operations, school administration, and the public.
• Maintain high-quality radio and telephone communications in accordance with department standards.
