Manager, Tax Ignition - Engineer
About the role
KPMG is seeking a Manager to join their Tax Ignition practice. This role involves researching, analyzing, designing, and delivering Tax solutions that are appropriate for the Tax business and clients. The ideal candidate will define and develop new Tax solutions leveraging programming technologies, design and develop solutions that integrate with vendor tools, and take ownership of the development process.
Responsibilities
- Research, analyze, design, and deliver Tax solutions that are appropriate for the Tax business and clients
- Define and develop new Tax solutions leveraging programming technologies such as ASP.NET, .NET, C#, Java, Python, HTML, JavaScript technologies and frameworks including AngularJS, KnockoutJS, BackboneJS, ReactJS; database technologies, SQL Server and ORM frameworks such as entity framework and cloud platforms: Azure, Google, and Amazon
- Design and develop solutions that integrate with vendor tools utilizing REST services and other integration design patterns; prepare technical artifacts to assist document technical architecture, design, and deployment diagrams
- Take ownership and accountability of development process through the entire software lifecycle which includes Architecture, Design, Development, DevOps; work with and learn new technologies such as Cloud, Intelligent Automation, and Data Analytics
- Practice standard development process leveraging agile methodologies such as SCRUM and enforce development standards defined by the department on best practices
- Review and analyze business requirements; provide technical feasibility and estimates as well as work closely with Tax business team, clients, and various technology teams to ensure development of a quality product
Requirements
- Minimum three years of recent experience in developing, unit testing, and troubleshooting applications software using ASP.NET MVC, .NET, C#, HTML, REST APIs, JavaScript technologies and frameworks such as AngularJS, KnockoutJS, BackboneJS, ReactJS and SQL Server with advanced level of knowledge on application development using these technologies is preferred; similar experience in comparable technologies such as Oracle is accepted
- Minimum two years of recent experience in leading development teams on projects in a fast-paced client facing dynamic environment
Qualifications
- Licensed CPA, EA, JD/LLM or one of the following advanced degrees from an accredited college or university: MBA, PhD, MS in computer science, in addition to others on KPMG's approved credential listing
Skills
- Prior working knowledge of web debugging tools including Fiddler, browser developer tools and debugger
