Manager, Talent Operations
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
Oversee full-cycle recruitment for both high-volume frontline roles and specialized positions; Oversee completion of pre-employment requirements, including background checks and I-9 compliance; Build and optimize recruiting systems, workflows, and sourcing strategies to improve quality of hire; Partner with department leaders to develop workforce plans and proactive hiring strategies; Establish and maintain community partnerships to support ongoing staffing needs; Solve recruitment and retention issues by working with department heads and senior leadership team members; Ensure the in-house per-diem staff is fully staffed to cut down on outside temporary costs; Review vacancies and problem solve any issues with hard to fill roles including but not limited to: reviewing shift schedules organization wide, have creative solutions for 24/7 building coverage; Collaborate and strategize with executive leadership on workforce planning, talent development and organizational structure to support scalable growth; Implement company-wide onboarding, performance and compliance frameworks tailored to a diverse and dispersed workforce; Partner cross-functionally to drive alignment between teams ensuring consistency in HR processes, training programs and employee experience.
Compliance & Policy Management
Ensure organizational compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations (e.g., EEO, FCRA, wage and hour laws); Conduct audits and ensure consistency across HR recruitment and onboarding practices.
Data Systems & Continuous Improvement
Optimize HR and recruiting systems (ATS/HRIS) to improve user experience and operational effectiveness; Lead continuous improvement initiatives across People & Talent Operations, including leveraging technology and AI where appropriate.
Required Skills / Abilities
- Deep knowledge of HR operations, employee relations, and employment law
- Experience with HRIS/ATS systems (e.g., UKG, ADP Workforce Now, Sage, or similar)
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment
- Strong leadership, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and equivalent experience
- A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in HR, People Operations
- A minimum of 3 years of experience managing and developing teams of HR and/or recruiting professionals
Preferred
- Experience building or scaling HR and/or recruiting functions
- Strong experience in high-volume recruiting and workforce environments
