About the Role
Our Talent Acquisition Team is looking for an experienced Manager of Talent Acquisition Operations and Employer Brand to make CarGurus a destination for top talent globally. As a critical member of the TA leadership team, you will partner cross-functionally with business partners, leaders, vendors, and the full TA team to translate strategy into action. You’ll influence and impact company-wide recruiting processes, candidate experience, employer brand, and programs by optimizing our data and technology.
Responsibilities
- TA Operations, Analytics & Tech Enablement
- Act as the primary owner and system administrator of Greenhouse (our ATS), including configuration, user management, job creation/post management, offer generation, new hire communications, integrations, and system health.
- Manage broader TA vendor relationships, optimizing and streamlining third-party job boards, sourcing, screening, and scheduling tools (e.g., LinkedIn, DocuSign, BrightHire).
- Evaluate and implement change management for the TA team around tool evolution and adoption, including building workflow maps, playbooks, and training.
- Analyze and evaluate long-term process needs with an eye on forward-looking industry best practices.
- Demonstrate deep technical expertise in recruiting operations, including system integrations and escalation management.
- Own TA analytics and reporting, configuring and maintaining dashboards, KPIs, and producing relevant reports.
- Partner with the TA leadership team to standardize hiring manager experience, structured interview best practices, and expectations.
- Lead, manage, and develop a team responsible for TA operations and candidate experience delivery, setting clear goals, processes, and performance standards.
- Candidate Experience & Employer Brand
- Oversee our global employer brand to attract high-quality candidates, working closely with internal partners and brand vendors.
- Leverage data and candidate sentiment to guide strategy, messaging, and spend.
- Own our social media accounts and career site (Phenom), managing content, job feed configuration, page design, and asset deployment.
- Track key site metrics to drive traffic and applications, continuously improving top-of-funnel performance.
- Create a “wow” candidate experience, ensuring a consistent and high-quality journey from application through offer stage across all roles.
Requirements
- Experienced Leader: Strong people leadership skills with a proven track record of building, coaching, and developing teams.
- Recruiting Expert: Previous experience managing a full desk recruiting role, providing deep understanding of the end-to-end hiring lifecycle.
- ATS Power User: Seasoned administrator (Greenhouse preferred), with expertise in system configuration: permissions, job templates, offer approvals, integrations, custom fields, and reporting. Experience with Greenhouse-to-Workday integration is a bonus.
- Career Site Savvy: Hands-on experience managing a career site platform (Phenom preferred), including content management, platform configuration, and employer brand execution. Understanding of how career site analytics connect to top-of-funnel recruiting performance.
- Tech-Savvy: Robust experience with TA tech levers (ATS, CRM, skills matching, scheduling, communications, etc.). Aptitude to master technical, backend aspects of the TA stack. Early adopter of AI and automation to enhance processes.
- Process & Project Oriented: Strong project management skills and ability to build operations from scratch, document workflows, and identify breakdowns in execution.
- Data-Driven: Highly analytical, with experience extracting insights from data visualization tools to diagnose business challenges and drive operational solutions.
- Candidate-Obsessed: Passion for candidate experience and ability to provide best-in-class service to talent.
- Collaborative Partner: Strong emotional intelligence and communication skills to partner multidirectionally with vendors and stakeholders across TA, HR, DEIB, Marketing, and Communications.
- Compliance-Aware: Understanding of operational and legal dimensions of talent operations, including background check processes, pay transparency compliance, and data privacy in candidate record management.
Pay
The expected annual base salary range for this position is $114,000—$143,000 USD. On-Target Earnings (OTE) includes base salary and on-target commission (applicable to sales roles). Individual pay is determined by work location and factors such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
