About the role
The Manager, Tailor Shop & Alterations oversees the day-to-day operations of the tailor shop, ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction. This role is responsible for managing a team of tailors and ensuring that all alterations and custom work are completed efficiently and accurately.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the tailor shop, including scheduling and managing staff.
- Ensure all alterations and custom work meet high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
- Train and mentor the team of tailors to improve their skills and efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and provide excellent service.
- Manage inventory and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in a managerial capacity within a similar industry.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
- Proficiency in using computer software for scheduling and inventory management.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Fashion Design, or related field (preferred).
- Experience in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Knowledge of fabric types and alteration techniques.
