Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of buyers and procurement specialists, providing coaching, performance feedback, and career development.
- Allocate workload, set priorities, and ensure timely completion of procurement activities.
- Build a culture of collaboration, accountability, continuous improvement, and ethical sourcing within the procurement function.
Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management
- Develop and execute global and regional sourcing strategies to support operational and financial objectives.
- Lead complex negotiations to secure favorable pricing, terms, quality, and long-term supply assurance.
- Establish supplier scorecards, oversee performance reviews, and implement corrective actions when needed.
- Identify, qualify, and onboard new suppliers to support technology, cost, and capacity requirements.
Procurement Operations & Process Improvement
- Oversee end-to-end procurement processes, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and alignment with internal controls.
- Lead initiatives to enhance procurement systems (SAP/MRP), workflows, automation tools, and reporting capabilities.
- Develop category playbooks, standardized procedures, and procurement best practices.
- Partner with Inventory, Planning, and Operations teams to optimize supply chain performance, VMI, JIT, and risk mitigation strategies.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Operations, Finance, Legal, and Corporate Procurement to support new product introduction, cost modeling, budgeting, and contract review.
- Support strategic projects, factory readiness efforts, and corporate alignment on global sourcing initiatives.
- Participate in cross-functional business reviews and present procurement strategies, supplier KPIs, cost savings, and risk assessments.
Data & Financial Analysis
- Conduct market research, cost analysis, and benchmarking to identify opportunities for cost reduction and supply optimization.
- Prepare and deliver reports on procurement metrics, compliance, supplier health, and category spending.
- Support financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting related to procurement activities.
