About the role
The Supply Chain Manager 2 – 1st Shift (9/80 Schedule) is responsible for managing supply chain activities and processes, including inventory management, material procurement, and logistics operations. They lead a team of salaried employees and are the global supply chain focal point for goods movement and logistics.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of salaried, exempt employees in tracking, receiving, stocking, kitting, issuing, shipping, preserving, and issuing parts supporting various production programs, including chemical management and issue.
- Develop and execute the strategy for global supply chain goods movement and logistics operations to support program affordability targets, schedule performance, and first-time quality.
- Train and guide employees in keeping with Northrop Grumman values.
- Lead, coordinate, and collaborate with internal and external customers, including local, state, federal, and international agencies, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in support of Aeronautics Sector programs.
- Direct team activities associated with program transportation, storage, and material handling requirements, including major deliveries (classified and unclassified), and specialty movements as they relate to transportability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of experience in supply chain management, project management, manufacturing, operations, or business management OR a Master’s Degree with 3 years of experience in supply chain management, project management, manufacturing, operations, or business management OR a High School Diploma/Equivalent with 9 years of experience in supply chain management, project management, manufacturing, operations, or business management.
- Minimum of 2 years experience leading a team, process, and/or projects.
- Basic knowledge of Material Requirements Planning or Enterprise Resource planning and/or equivalent Planning experience.
- Current active U.S. Government Secret level clearance to apply/start.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Program Special Access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company.
Qualifications

- Master's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Working Knowledge of SAP.
