Manager Subcontracts 2

For our client, we are seeking a Manager Subcontracts 2 to join the team of a leader in the Aerospace & Defense space. This role will lead subcontract management across a complex national defense portfolio, with a strong focus on procurement discipline, risk management, and program execution. The manager will partner closely with supply chain, project, and cross-functional stakeholders to help ensure timely delivery and compliance in a highly regulated environment. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who can guide a team, navigate federal contracting requirements, and support mission-critical outcomes. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $133,200 – $199,800 annually Responsibilities Lead the full lifecycle of subcontracts supporting a complex national defense program portfolio Evaluate proposal submissions and develop risk mitigation strategies Manage and oversee a team of supply chain professionals to meet project deadlines Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project completion Educate stakeholders on procurement policies and subcontracting principles Qualifications Bachelor's degree with 8+ years in subcontracts, or an advanced degree with 6+ years of equivalent experience Strong understanding of DoD and commercial procurement policies and regulations Comprehensive knowledge of FAR/DFARS and federal contracting regulations Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments, multi-task, and make timely decisions Proven strong communication skills across all organizational levels Capacity to maintain confidence in supply chain and project management Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret clearance Benefits Health insurance coverage Life and disability insurance Retirement savings plan Company paid holidays Paid time off for vacation and personal business Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
