Overview

The Strategy & Operations team partners with senior leaders on strategic priorities, shaping the company’s long-term direction through analytical rigor, strategic foresight, and clear operational guidance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of industry trends, emerging technologies, and market dynamics.
  • Benchmark Match Group brands and surface insights that inform strategic decision-making.
  • Identify market signals to inform buy, build, or partner decisions across the Match Group portfolio.
  • Support resource allocation and strategic planning across brands and geographies.
  • Develop data-driven recommendations for portfolio-level opportunities and risks.
  • Translate user, market, and financial data into clear financial models.
  • Size growth opportunities, present the results and strategic implications, and create the paths to implement.
  • Drive and support strategic initiatives for Corporate and Business Unit leadership.
  • Provide clear perspectives grounded in analysis, business context, and operational realities.
  • Develop materials for key executive forums, including Strategic Planning, Board of Directors meetings, and Quarterly Earnings.
  • Support project management for these programs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in strategy consulting, investment banking, or corporate strategy (ideally in consumer tech).
  • Strong analytical skills, including market and competitive analysis, use of strategy frameworks, and development of business cases with imperfect data.
  • Experience developing and implementing growth strategies.
  • Demonstrated success aligning stakeholders across functional, business, and technical teams.
  • Clear and confident communication, with experience creating concise, executive-ready materials for C-suite audiences.
  • Highly organized, proactive operator who thrives in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment.
  • Proficiency in building presentations in Google Slides or Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Experience conducting analysis and modeling in Excel, including intermediate-level formulas, pivot tables, and charts.
  • Experience writing clear, well-structured executive memos.

About the Role

The Manager, Strategy & Operations will act as an internal strategy consultant to executive leadership and the Match Group brands. They will lead or support high-impact initiatives, helping define strategic direction and translate insights into actionable plans. Reporting to the Senior Director, Strategy & Operations, they will work closely with peers across Strategy, Operations, and Consumer Research. This role requires engaging with a wide range of senior stakeholders and adapting to different business needs, work styles, and communication preferences.
