Overview
ROLE AT A GLANCE: The Manager, Strategic Planning will provide assistance in planning and directing the organization's strategic and long-range goals. The primary responsibility is to help develop and implement strategic projects using financial and data analysis, help develop recommendations to improve profitability and operational efficiency, and assist with the annual corporate 5-year planning process.
Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, recommend strategies for augmenting short- and long-term business growth, perform market analysis, write business plans and track industry trends that could affect company efficiency, expansion and profitability
- Assist in leading the strategic planning process in the regions
- Identify and utilize quantitative tools that measure the efficiency of strategic and operation initiatives
- Identify financial risks, return on investment of new country openings and investment opportunities
- Monitor and communicate market trends to internal partners, reporting competitor shifts in the general marketplace and direct selling industry and identify external factors influencing growth opportunities
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in international relations, economics, business, or statistics, or MBA with 5 years' experience
- Experience: 7 years’ experience in strategy, consulting or an operating/line role, change management role, or continuous improvement
- Skills/Certifications: Expertise with deep quantitative analysis, clear demonstration of effective leadership skills in a work environment, proven experience in applying well-developed problem-solving skills (quantitative, conceptual, analytical) under general supervision, ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing, in English and the local office language(s)
- Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
- Desire to work with international/emerging markets
- Ability to adapt as the external environment and organization evolves
- Ability to interact effectively at all levels with sensitivity to cultural diversity
