About the role

Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands and deadlines. Allocate resources effectively to ensure production processes run smoothly and efficiently. Monitor and adjust schedules as needed to account for changes in demand or unforeseen production issues.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead the production team, including workers, supervisors, and technicians.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure staff perform their duties safely and effectively.
  • Conduct performance reviews and manage employee development.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
  • Monitor production workflows to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and resolve any operational challenges that arise.
  • Ensure that products meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Collaborate with the quality assurance team to resolve production issues related to quality.
  • Monitor and control raw materials, supplies, and finished goods inventory levels to ensure efficient production.
  • Work with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Reduce waste and excess inventory by implementing lean manufacturing principles.
  • Ensure the production area follows all relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of production output, downtime, and other key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Report on production status to senior management, highlighting any issues or deviations from the plan.
  • Keep up-to-date with production documentation, such as work orders, production logs, and maintenance schedules.
  • Monitor production costs and implement strategies to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
  • Work closely with other departments, such as engineering, procurement, and logistics, to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of products.
  • Participate in meetings with senior management to discuss performance, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.

Requirements

  • 8-15 years of experience.
  • Bachelor of Science in Food Engineering (FE-Food).
