About the role
The Manager, Real Estate Environmental Compliance role leads Walmart's enterprise Asbestos Containing Material (ACM) and Lead-Based Paint (LBP) compliance program across all business formats. This role serves as the program owner and subject matter expert, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing surveys and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) plans, overseeing contractor performance, and partnering with internal and external stakeholders to support safe and compliant facilities.
What you'll do
- Lead Walmart's ACM/LBP compliance program, ensuring surveys, O&M plans, training, and documentation remain current and compliant.
- Provide guidance to Construction, Facility Services, and project teams on ACM/LBP requirements during renovation, maintenance, and capital projects.
- Manage environmental consulting vendors, including SOW development, performance monitoring, and service quality.
- Support regulatory inspections, agency inquiries, and compliance-related investigations.
- Maintain ACM/LBP policies, standards, procedures, and governance documentation, including Council activities.
- Oversee program metrics, funding, documentation management, and continuous improvement.
- Support construction projects monitoring activities, to include assessment reviews, closure of exceptions, metrics tracking, and reporting.
- Cover environmental incident management, ensuring timely follow-up, documentation, and closure of incidents.
What you'll bring
- Expertise in ACM/LBP regulations, including OSHA, EPA, AHERA, RRP, and NESHAP requirements.
- Experience managing environmental compliance programs in large-scale retail, commercial real estate, construction, or facilities environments.
- Strong vendor management, program management, and regulatory interpretation skills.
- Ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical business processes and guidance.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience partnering across operations, construction, maintenance, legal, and leadership teams.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field and 2 years’ experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area OR 4 years’ experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area.
- 2 years’ experience using intermediate functionality of Microsoft Office.

Pay
The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $155,000.00 Additional Compensation Includes Annual Or Quarterly Performance Bonuses.
