About the role
The ITSM Engineering team at ServiceNow focuses on designing, building, configuring, and optimizing IT Service Management (ITSM) modules within the platform. We translate business requirements into automated workflows, integrating AI and ITIL best practices to streamline IT services delivery and support across enterprises.
Responsibilities
- Manage product development activities
- Work with product management, design, support, and other development teams to create high-quality solutions
- Manage daily activities of the development team
- Solve difficult and sometimes ambiguous problems
- Manage departmental resources, staffing, mentoring, and enhancing and maintaining a best-of-class engineering team
Qualifications
- Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving
- 6+ years of experience with technologies relevant to ServiceNow and advanced coding skills
- 1–2 years of people management or team leadership experience
- 6+ years of experience in SAAS products
- Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and develop team members
- Experience leading projects, initiatives, or small teams in a professional environment
- Experience with open source tools and agile development environments
- Experience with one or more relevant programming languages (JavaScript, Java, C++, Ruby, Shell)
- Understanding of JavaScript-based frameworks like React, Angular
- Understanding of broad concepts and experience using those concepts to understand and develop solutions for problems
- Ability to execute a project based on our priorities, context, risks, and desired outcomes
Benefits
Base pay range: $166,500 - $291,400, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation, and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure.

Compensation is based on the geographic location in which the role is located and is subject to change based on work location.
