Manager, Slope Maintenance

About the role

Reporting to the Director of Slope Maintenance, the incumbent is responsible for any and all snow cat grooming on Mammoth Mountain. Overseeing all operations of the Slope Maintenance department, including equipment and employees, coordinating maintenance of all machines with the Garage Facility, scheduling all snow cat operators, and assisting with the development and implementation of a rigorous training program.

Responsibilities

• Provides scheduling of all snow cat operators.
• Develops and implements a SnowSat fleet management system, including reporting tools.
• Manages construction projects, coordinating outside contractors.
• Manages fuel, wages, and repair costs within budgetary guidelines set by the department head.
• Assists with other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• 3-4 years on snow cat operations experience.
• 2-3 years management experience preferred.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including day, swing, and graveyard shifts.
• Possession of a commercial driving license, including HAZMAT endorsements.

Pay

$80,213.49 - $84,825.66 per year
