About the role

The Maintenance Manager leads the maintenance department at the DeKalb Packaging Center, providing technical direction and ensuring the facility runs efficiently. The role involves managing a team, implementing Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principles, and promoting a safety-first culture.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the site Maintenance function in providing both reactive and proactive maintenance services
  • Manage a Maintenance team and establish standard policies and procedures
  • Utilize TPM to improve OEE, focusing on AM and PM pillars
  • Increase operational effectiveness through improved project delivery, reduced downtime, and enhanced maintenance KPIs
  • Implement continuous improvement strategies and oversee change management
  • Propose and monitor maintenance improvement plans and objectives
  • Propose, prioritize, and control the R&M budget
  • Promote a safety-first culture
  • Collaborate with production, quality, sanitation, and warehouse teams on equipment repairs and maintenance
  • Ensure compliance with equipment regulations

Requirements

  • BS degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred
  • 5-7 years of supervisory/managerial experience in maintenance or technical field required
  • Direct maintenance experience in CPG or food manufacturing strongly preferred
  • Experience with TPM, specifically AM and PM pillars required
  • Proficiency in standard computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft products
  • SAP or other ERP software experience a plus
  • Experience with continuous improvement strategies and change management
  • In-depth knowledge of equipment maintenance and technology

Pay

The salary range for this role is $102,075 - $142,905 annually.
