About the Role

Join Pasha Logistics LLC as Manager, Shop, where you will lead the shop function responsible for maintaining warehouse equipment, yard assets, vehicles, and facility mechanical systems. This role is responsible for directing daily shop workflow, managing preventive and corrective maintenance programs, overseeing parts and vendor activity, supporting safety and compliance, and leading Shop Mechanics. You will play a key role in maximizing equipment uptime, minimizing service disruptions, and supporting safe, reliable, and efficient freight operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Daily Shop Operations & Maintenance Workflow: Keep equipment, assets, and facility systems operating safely, reliably, and on schedule.
  • Lead daily maintenance activities for forklifts, yard trucks, material handling equipment, and facility mechanical systems.
  • Plan, schedule, and track work orders, preventive maintenance, service calls, and repair activity using a maintenance tracking system.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical problems and direct or perform advanced repairs as needed.
  • Partner with Operations teams to align maintenance windows with inbound and outbound schedules to reduce service impacts.
  • Oversee shop tools, test equipment, calibration routines, equipment certifications, and required recertifications.
  • Drive Preventive Maintenance, Parts Control & Equipment Uptime: Build strong maintenance programs that reduce downtime and improve operational throughput.
  • Manage PM schedules and corrective maintenance activities to maximize equipment availability and reliability.
  • Oversee parts room operations, inventory levels, reorder points, and usage tracking to support timely repairs.
  • Manage vendor work, negotiate quotes, and verify workmanship, invoicing, timing, and scope against business needs.
  • Support welding, light fabrication, equipment modifications, and durable repairs that improve safety and performance.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives that streamline workflows, reduce rework, and improve shop productivity.
  • Strengthen Safety, Compliance & Maintenance Quality: Promote safe shop practices, accurate records, and audit-ready maintenance documentation.
  • Conduct safety trainings, inspections, and coaching to reinforce safe work behaviors across shop activities.
  • Keep inspection, maintenance, incident, OSHA, and applicable regulatory documentation accurate and audit-ready.
  • Assist with investigations related to equipment damage, near misses, or injuries and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Set expectations for repair quality, documentation accuracy, and compliance with safety and maintenance standards.
  • Identify shop risks, service gaps, and equipment concerns before they impact safety or operations.
  • Manage Budget, Performance & Shop Team Development: Lead people, resources, and performance to support efficient shop operations.
  • Prepare and manage budgets related to parts, tooling, vendor spend, capital needs, and refurbishment proposals.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators, reporting status, risks, and action plans to leadership.
  • Manage labor planning, scheduling, timekeeping, performance feedback, coaching, and development for Shop Mechanics and temporary labor.
  • Set clear expectations, support skill development, and model a safety-first, service-focused leadership approach.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Safety, and customer-facing teams to solve problems and support business priorities.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate degree preferred
  • Valid state-issued driver license and acceptable driving record required
  • Class A Commercial Driver’s License preferred
  • OSHA forklift trainer, welding certifications, or equivalent safety/maintenance credentials preferred
  • 5+ years of equipment, fleet, or industrial maintenance experience supporting warehouse, distribution, freight, or production environments
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience leading mechanics, technicians, or shop operations
  • Experience with temporary labor, vendor management, and high-volume operational settings preferred

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of maintenance practices for forklifts, yard trucks, hydraulics, brakes, and material handling equipment
  • Proficiency with preventive maintenance planning, diagnostics, and repair methods
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and maintenance documentation
  • Skill in parts inventory control, vendor coordination, and basic budgeting
  • Familiarity with OSHA requirements, hazard communication, and maintenance documentation best practices
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and maintenance or operational systems
  • Welding and light fabrication ability preferred

Work Environment & Requirements

  • This role works across a corporate office environment, freight warehouse facility, outdoor yard and lot, and workshop settings. Work may involve exposure to hot, humid, cold, and other inclement weather conditions.
  • Occasional travel is required. The successful candidate must be able to travel independently to local facilities.
  • Screening requirements include background checks, driving record review, and drug testing.

Pay

Zone 2: $90,000 - $100,000. Starting pay will be determined by job-related factors including experience, education, and business needs and may be modified at any time. If you are applying to work from a different location, the salary range may vary to align with the cost of labor and market conditions in that area.
