About the role

Otis Elevator is seeking a passionate and driven individual to join and lead our maintenance operations, providing day-to-day management and training of field staff. This role focuses on employee selection, development, field training, and safety while leading operational efforts to manage costs and ensure superior customer satisfaction. You will report to the Senior Manager, Service Sales and Ops in the Houston territory.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure field employee safety and quality of service in your territory.
  • Plan, organize, and manage service field activities to meet customer needs and company standards.
  • Ensure effective and efficient allocation of resources such as manpower and materials.
  • Conduct field education and training with the workforce.
  • Improve efficiencies by managing route schedules and callback rates.
  • Provide or redirect technical support to field staff.
  • Authorize repair orders and track their completion.
  • Lead change toward better efficiency and communication.

Requirements

  • High school education required; BA/BS degree preferred or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Experience working with a team of technicians is required.
  • Leadership experience is required.
  • Elevator industry experience is desired but not required.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work in a highly team-oriented and dynamic environment.
  • Strong computer and technology skills, business acumen, and a passion for customer service.
  • Travel within your territory is required; a driver’s license is necessary.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. now and in the future without sponsorship.
