How Your First Month Might Look Like
- This week: Meet your buddy and manager to ensure your computer is set up, and you have all the key software and tools you need. Meet your product team to begin understanding product goals, scope, and near-term expectations from you.
- The second week: begin working closely with your product manager and business owner to familiarize or begin to define user journeys. You’ll dive into setting up your Figma files to set up your workspace with what you need to begin low fidelity wireframes or familiarize yourself with the existing designs. You will also meet the myPBM design team and get familiarized with design systems, patterns, standards, and tooling.
- Month 1: By the end of the first month, you’ll be regularly producing mock-ups for delivery, advocating for good UX, accessibility, and design system standards. You’ll annotate designs where necessary, especially to ensure accessibility. Working with PMs and engineers, you’ll ensure alignment on story requirements and feasibility. Team meetings and pairing will give you a general understanding of the broader myPBM ecosystem.
