Manager, Sales Development
About the role
The ideal candidate will cultivate an environment focused on generating quality sales pipeline, fostering the professional growth of team members, and embodying Workday's core values. This role involves implementing outbound calling programs, including targeted campaigns, mock calls, call blitzes, and individual SDR mentorship. Collaboration with Marketing is essential to support field marketing activities such as webinars, trade shows, and demand generation campaigns within the assigned territory.
Responsibilities
- Recruiting, hiring, and training new team members
- Aligning the Sales Development Representative (SDR) daily activities to achieve quarterly objectives
- Building and leading a high-performing team of Sales Development Representatives
- Collaborating with Marketing to support field marketing activities
- Implementing outbound calling programs
- Generating quality sales pipeline
- Fostering the professional growth of team members
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of professional experience (4 years)
- 2+ years of Sales Development Leadership Experience in the Software/Technology (SaaS) space
- 2 years prior experience in a closing role (e.g., Account Executive)
- 2+ years of experience analyzing and converting data into actionable insights and developing successful sales prospecting execution plans

Pay
The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location.
- Primary Location: $106,200 USD - $159,400 USD
- Additional US Location(s): $100,900 USD - $179,300 USD
Schedule
Our approach to flexible work combines in-person time and remote work. Teams spend at least half (50%) of their time each quarter in the office or in the field with our customers, prospects, and partners (depending on role).
