Manager, Sales
Maintain and continue to build existing relationships
Maintain and continue to build existing relationships with OEM customers by making periodic visits and phone calls.
Identify new business opportunities
- Conduct market research
- Analyze market surveys
- Attend related industrial trade shows and exhibitions
Sales activities
- Generate leads
- Set customer visit appointments
- Prepare quotes
- Travel to customer locations
- Negotiate and close orders
Customer support
Aid sales management to develop and execute sales plans to achieve objectives regarding revenue, profitability and market share. Achieve annual booking plan on a quarterly basis. Maintain a real time sales forecast, sales database and reporting results per company requirements and structure.
Collaboration
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary engineering team and operations team to ensure current and future market requirements are thoroughly understood
- Act as primary point of contact for customers and resolve customer issues quickly and effectively
Essential Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in a technical/engineering discipline
- Sales experience in an OEM environment
- Demonstrated history of successful sales management and quota achievement
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally – 30% to 40% of the time
- Willingness to learn and the ability to thrive in a technical environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional collaborative team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Superior presentation skills
- Ability to read schematics
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Non-Essential Skills
- Three to five (3 to 5) years of directly related experience
- Experience and/or knowledge of Sales, Marketing or Applications Engineering within technology industries, preferably in instruments, electronics, or capital equipment
- Experience using Salesforce Software or another CRM platform
- Experience using an ERP system
Physical & Mental Demands
- Regularly required to sit, walk, bend, stoop and stand within an industrial environment
- Repetitively use hands and fingers to operate basic office equipment and possibly operate hand and power tools standard to a production environment

Pay
Salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 annually
Schedule
Full-time position with flexible working hours to accommodate travel and customer needs.
