Manager, Safety Scientist

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Manager, Safety Scientist to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space. This role will help ensure the integrity of safety surveillance activities across the product development lifecycle, with a strong focus on pharmacovigilance and global regulatory expectations. You will partner closely with clinical, regulatory, and cross-functional stakeholders to assess safety data, support submissions, and contribute to governance discussions. The position also plays an important role in evaluating signals, documenting findings, and helping advance patient safety in a highly regulated environment. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.

Pay

$127,800 – $167,800 annually

Responsibilities

• Support signal detection and evaluation of safety data from multiple sources
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure thorough safety data analysis
• Assist with authoring safety sections of clinical trial documents and regulatory submissions
• Monitor patient safety and review safety data in clinical trials
• Prepare and present safety data at governance meetings and with regulatory bodies

Qualifications

• PharmD, RN, or PhD/MS in a medical field or biological science
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Safety (Pharmacovigilance) Scientist
• Experience in pharmaceutical product development
• Strong understanding of global regulatory requirements for pharmacovigilance
• Proficiency with safety databases such as Argus and MedDRA
