Manager, Safety
Salary Range: $95,000 to $125,000. This position is eligible for the annual performance bonus plan. Travel frequency and duration will vary depending on the role and project timeline. Final determination of starting pay will vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience.
About the Role
The Project Safety Manager supports the Project Teams in developing and sustaining an Incident and Injury Free Culture (IIFC) by developing and maintaining a Project Safety Roadmap and Site Safety Plan. This role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations. Responsibilities include:
- Generating weekly Total Case Incident Reports on large projects and submitting to project leadership and management.
- Leading incident and injury investigations with support from Production leadership.
- Assisting during weekly toolbox safety meetings.
- Monitoring and auditing Cupertino Electric, Inc. (CEI)/Subcontractor compliance in accordance with applicable standards, regulations, and project safety requirements.

Work Environment
Work involves standing, walking, sitting, climbing, typing, carrying, pushing, and bending. Conducted in both indoor office and outdoor construction jobsite settings with varying environmental conditions. Occasional work at heights, in confined spaces, and lifting of up to 40 pounds.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), Construction Management, Business, or Engineering preferred.
- OSHA 30 Construction certification required.
- CPR/First Aid Certified (Trainer Preferred); other safety certifications desired.
- Must be willing to obtain a BCSP CHST certification or higher within 12 months.
- Three (3) to five (5) years of construction safety experience (electrical safety experience preferred).
- Valid state-issued driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship is not available.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual proficiency preferred.
