Manager (RN) - Med/Surg/Tele

About the role

The Med/Surg/Tele Manager at Southwest Healthcare Rancho Springs Hospital is responsible for overseeing daily clinical operations, staffing, budgeting, regulatory compliance, and performance improvement initiatives. This role partners closely with Clinical Supervisors, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient flow, maintain labor efficiency, and uphold standards in documentation, patient safety, and core quality measures.

Responsibilities

• Strategically lead Med/Surg/Tele units to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
• Oversee daily clinical operations, staffing, budgeting, regulatory compliance, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Partner with Clinical Supervisors, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient flow, maintain labor efficiency, and uphold standards in documentation, patient safety, and core quality measures.
• Recruit, on-board, coach, and validate competency of staff to ensure a skilled and engaged workforce capable of meeting evolving unit needs.
• Provide effective leadership during complex clinical situations, support policy development, and maintain a high level of clinical expertise in telemetry, emergency response, and evidence-based practice.

Qualifications

• Certified Registered Nurse with current California RN license and current BLS certification.
• Experience in a department-specific setting for two (2) years required.
• Charge nurse, supervisory expertise in department specific preferred.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited College or University in related field required.
• Master's degree from an accredited College or University in related field preferred.
