Manager, RN, Emergency Department

Role Overview: The Nurse Manager oversees a clinical unit, fostering a safe, efficient, and patient-centered environment. They lead and supervise nursing and ancillary staff, ensuring high-quality care, compliance with regulations, and staff development. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate daily unit activities, set and achieve goals for safety and quality care.Build and maintain a high-performing team through recruitment, evaluation, coaching, and discipline.Monitor clinical processes using audits and data analysis to improve patient outcomes.Conduct daily rounds with physicians and staff, ensuring effective communication and care coordination.Manage staffing needs, schedule personnel, authorize overtime, and facilitate patient throughput.Ensure safety standards, oversee emergency preparedness, and prevent complications.Address operational issues, investigate concerns, and implement improvement strategies. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required; Master’s preferred.Licensed RN in the practice state; ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, and NRP certifications required.Preferred: 5+ years' clinical experience, 1+ year leadership experience, and specialty certifications.Strong leadership, communication, and judgment skills to foster team collaboration and ensure optimal patient care.
