Key Responsibilities
- Own day-to-day revenue operations, including contract setup support, support for the billing and collections team, revenue transaction review, journal entry preparation and review, account reconciliations, fluctuation analysis, and monthly close deliverables.
- Execute and evidence revenue-related SOX controls, maintain clear ownership over key control activities, prepare audit-ready support, and proactively address control gaps, process risks, and external audit requests.
- Partner with Financial Systems and Transformation teams to improve NetSuite and related revenue data flows, support automation initiatives, resolve data quality issues, and build scalable reporting and reconciliation processes.
- Work with Sales, Legal, FP&A, Operations, Billing and Collections, and Revenue Accounting to ensure contract terms, billing activity, cash application, and revenue recognition conclusions are aligned, documented, and communicated clearly.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 6–8+ years of progressive accounting, controllership, revenue operations, or public accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of ASC 606, revenue accounting, reconciliations, close processes, and audit support requirements.
- Experience operating in SOX-compliant or public company control environments, including control execution, documentation, and remediation support.
- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills, with demonstrated ability to manage large datasets, identify exceptions, and translate data into actionable close and reporting insights.
Preferred
- NetSuite experience, revenue subledger, billing or collections process exposure, process transformation experience, and industry experience in live events, hospitality, sports, media, or ticketing.
