Manager, Revenue Accounting

Key Responsibilities

  • Own day-to-day revenue operations, including contract setup support, support for the billing and collections team, revenue transaction review, journal entry preparation and review, account reconciliations, fluctuation analysis, and monthly close deliverables.
  • Execute and evidence revenue-related SOX controls, maintain clear ownership over key control activities, prepare audit-ready support, and proactively address control gaps, process risks, and external audit requests.
  • Partner with Financial Systems and Transformation teams to improve NetSuite and related revenue data flows, support automation initiatives, resolve data quality issues, and build scalable reporting and reconciliation processes.
  • Work with Sales, Legal, FP&A, Operations, Billing and Collections, and Revenue Accounting to ensure contract terms, billing activity, cash application, and revenue recognition conclusions are aligned, documented, and communicated clearly.

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Work with Sales, Legal, FP&A, Operations, Billing and Collections, Financial Systems, and external auditors to ensure alignment and communication of contract terms, billing activity, cash application, and revenue recognition conclusions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 6–8+ years of progressive accounting, controllership, revenue operations, or public accounting experience.
  • Strong understanding of ASC 606, revenue accounting, reconciliations, close processes, and audit support requirements.
  • Experience operating in SOX-compliant or public company control environments, including control execution, documentation, and remediation support.
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills, with demonstrated ability to manage large datasets, identify exceptions, and translate data into actionable close and reporting insights.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • NetSuite experience, revenue subledger, billing or collections process exposure, process transformation experience, and industry experience in live events, hospitality, sports, media, or ticketing.

  • Strong control environment with complete evidence, timely review, and clear accountability for key revenue processes.
  • Improved data quality, reduced manual effort, and scalable reporting through process improvement and automation.
  • Effective partnership with Revenue Accounting, FP&A, Legal, Sales, Operations, Billing and Collections, Financial Systems, and external auditors.
  • High-performing team that understands priorities, meets deadlines, escalates issues early, and delivers audit-ready workpapers.
