About the Role
Manages the daily and strategic operations of Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and/or Speech-Language Pathology and supervises personnel in inpatient and/or outpatient settings. Serves as liaison between Ambulatory Services and other departments. In partnership with physician leaders, takes a leadership role in planning, developing, marketing, and evaluating all aspects of the Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech-Language Pathology Department in support of the mission and strategic objectives of this program.
Identifies and pursues gainful opportunities and ventures for Ambulatory Services.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily and strategic operations of Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and/or Speech-Language Pathology.
- Supervise personnel in inpatient and/or outpatient settings.
- Serve as liaison between Ambulatory Services and other departments.
- Lead planning, development, marketing, and evaluation of the department in partnership with physician leaders.
- Identify and pursue gainful opportunities and ventures for Ambulatory Services.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Master's Degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech-Language Pathology preferred.
- Two or more years of supervisory experience preferred.
- Advanced analytical, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills to provide effective leadership.
- Ability to work cooperatively and harmoniously with medical staff and administration to facilitate program goals.
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification from American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or National Safety Council required.
- Provides care appropriate to patient population as described in applicable policies and procedures.
