About the Role
Manages the daily and strategic operations of Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and/or Speech-Language Pathology, supervising personnel in inpatient and/or outpatient settings. Serves as liaison between Ambulatory Services and other departments. In partnership with physician leaders, takes a leadership role in planning, developing, marketing, and evaluating all aspects of the Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech-Language Pathology Department to support the mission and strategic objectives of the program. Identifies and pursues gainful opportunities and ventures for Ambulatory Services.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily and strategic operations of Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and/or Speech-Language Pathology in inpatient and/or outpatient settings.
- Supervise personnel and serve as liaison between Ambulatory Services and other departments.
- Partner with physician leaders to plan, develop, market, and evaluate departmental programs.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to advance Ambulatory Services goals.
- Provide care appropriate to the patient population as described in applicable policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech-Language Pathology preferred.
- Two or more years of supervisory experience preferred.
- Advanced analytical, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills to provide effective leadership.
- Ability to work cooperatively and harmoniously with medical staff and administration to facilitate program goals.
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification (American Heart Association/American Red Cross/National Safety Council) required.
