About the role

The Regional Operational Capabilities Manager at Hilmar Cheese Company is responsible for leading the strategy, thought leadership, design, delivery, and evaluation of operational technical training and foundational skill-building for salaried and hourly operations employees across multiple sites.

Job Responsibilities

  • Partner with department leaders, supervision, training staff, and employees to develop strategies to improve and optimize technical training processes.
  • Cultivate an exceptional culture that puts the company's values into action, encouraging and enabling everyone to contribute to each other's success, and building operational capabilities.
  • Understand and support the needs in a greenfield expansion environment, developing best practice methods for delivery in a new market, and developing dairy industry knowledge and capability.
  • Develop customized learning by understanding and responding to individual learning needs.
  • Work with the operations team to build, maintain, and administer a unified qualification process and method for assessing progress.
  • Lead, manage, and develop the site training team to deliver training strategy.
  • Promote and manage online learning materials to ensure cross-facility sharing of resources in a timely manner.
  • Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), identify learning opportunities, and manage change effectively.
  • Lead the development of immersive learning to accelerate and assist operator development of knowledge and skill through ongoing verification.
  • Partner with site leadership to ensure learning initiatives and outcomes support operational initiatives appropriately.
  • Support platform efforts for online operational learning materials standardization to promote cross-facility sharing of resources in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with site leadership to implement emerging technologies throughout the workforce for the purpose of accelerating learning and development.

What You Will Need

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Operations Management, L&D or related field plus 5 years related experience OR Master’s degree in related field plus 1 year related experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and deliver technical training content to build measured competency.
  • Successful execution of operational training methods, preferably in a fast-paced, high-volume environment; manufacturing background a plus.
  • Proficient working with Microsoft Office Software such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to foster trust, influence, coach, and guide talent at all career stages, business leaders, and teams.
  • Problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and self-initiative.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication - especially presentation skills, interpersonal skills; high quality document and report preparation.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Bachelor's degree plus 7 years related leadership experience in HR OR Master's degree plus 2 years related experience.
  • Proficiency in at least one rapid eLearning development tool.
  • Experience with graphic design, video editing, micro-learning, gamification, and simulations.

The work is primarily performed in an office environment and the physical demands are characteristic of a mostly sedentary role. Salary Range

USD ($119,409.00 - $179,114.00) Annually
