Responsibilities
- Ensures consistent application of human resources systems and processes and implementation of initiatives for an assigned region, including employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, and retention programs.
- Partners with site leaders to address workforce planning and development needs.
- Oversees and/or completes generalist duties to advise managers on strategic and tactical plans, which may include:
- Coaching and support related to employee discipline.
- Conducting internal investigations.
- Facilitating workforce planning execution.
- Develops and delivers written communications and presentations to managers and employees; develops and conducts training and presentations.
- Oversees recruiting for hourly, salaried exempt and nonexempt employees, students, and temporary workers.
- Assists employees and managers in developing goals and objectives and supports performance management processes, including leading calibrations.
- Collaborates within human resources to develop, document, and recommend continuous improvement of HR processes, procedures, or programs to deliver innovative solutions.
- Performs a full range of managerial responsibilities, which may include but are not limited to:
- Interviewing, hiring, coaching, and developing employees.
- Planning, assigning, and directing work.
- Performance management and department budget.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, business, or equivalent education and experience.
- Minimum seven years of Human Resources experience.
- Prior experience in employee relations required.
- Manufacturing industry experience highly preferred.
Skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of principles and practices of Human Resources, HR regulations, and compliance.
- Demonstrated skills in employee relations with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and use sound judgment in decision-making.
- Demonstrated ability to partner and influence at all levels in the business and to be viewed as a credible, valuable source of information and integral part of the management team.
- Excellent change management skills.
- Strong organization, time management, and project management skills necessary to prioritize and oversee projects or teams with multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
- Ability to react quickly in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Strong communication skills to facilitate work with diverse groups of employees.
- Solid computer skills; understanding of all interfaces impacting HR function administration.
