Manager, Regional, Air & Sea Pricing
Summary
The Regional Air & Sea Pricing Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the respective DSV pricing team within a region/sub-region, ensuring that all activities are conducted in an efficient, and cost-effective manner within the nominated Pricing Tool. This position will be responsible for managing staff, implementing company standardized operational policies and procedures, and managing team workflows in a timely, competitive, and professional manner.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all aspects of the Air & Ocean pricing team for the area of responsibility, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating activities of the team.
- Work with Regional and Country Team to review and maintain master data rates within the quoting tool.
- Monitor team utilization of pricing tool and review performance to identify areas for improvement in operational effectiveness and rate effectiveness.
- Implement all related company policies, procedures, and systems to improve efficiency and quality of quotes through the established quoting tool.
- Provide assistance and guidance to the team for the effective utilization of the nominated pricing tool.
- Manage staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation, to ensure that all team members are working effectively and efficiently.
- Manage and review the effectiveness of the Sell Rates for the region of responsibility.
- Assist in the preparation of bids and estimates in area of responsibility.
- Track our win/ loss ratio and establish corrective actions to improve win ratio.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain management or a related field is preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in Freight Forwarding, logistics or related field is required.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in estimating/pricing is preferred.

- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address operational issues and challenges.
- Previous experience in Air & Ocean operations is highly preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of transportation and logistics processes, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Proficiency in using transportation management software, such as TMS or WMS.
- Knowledge of lean principles and methodologies is a plus.
- Strong math and analytical skills is preferred.
- Experience in Pricing Leadership in international transportation and logistics management (preferred).
- Fluency in English (oral and written).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, and experience with transportation management software.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position will be responsible for managing a team of operations staff.
Pay
Expected base pay: $106,000 - $135,000 / Annual. Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, geographic location and other objective business considerations.
