Responsibilities
- Manages assigned personnel and coordinates the activity of assigned personnel in order to provide effective security services to PHC.
- Enforces all PHC regulations, and applicable state and federal laws.
- Supports all security functions to maintain a safe and secure environment.
- Responsible for the safe de-escalation of critical events and the use of sound judgment in the engagement with combative or escalating subjects.
- Advocates crime prevention and a secure work environment through observation, interaction, and intervention.
- Works as part of the System Public Safety Leadership Team in support of the System Director of Public Safety as well as the local entity Executive Leader.
Qualifications
Education
- H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
- Bachelor's Degree in healthcare management/ business administration, criminal justice, or other related fields Preferred
Work Experience
- 5 years general security, military or other public safety experience with three (3) years' experience in supervision/leadership roles Required
- Required to pass psychological screening during pre-employment screening. Required
- May be required to carry less lethal weapons such as a Taser CEW and/or an expandable baton
- May be required to carry company approved firearm
- To carry a lethal or less-lethal weapons the Manager must pass and maintain all training requirements
Licenses and Certifications
- DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State & adhere to Piedmont's Healthcare Vehicle Safety Program policy 3500 Upon Hire Required
- Certified Healthcare Protection Administrator (IAHSS) Preferred
- Active Georgia Peace Officer Standards & Training (P.O.S.T.) certification Preferred
