Responsibilities

• Provide fire, safety, emergency management, and security protection for coworkers, patients, and visitors
• Ensure all duties and responsibilities align with Mercy’s Mission, Values, and Service Standards

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or higher in a related Public Safety major, or related work experience
• Valid state driver’s license
• Valid local, state, or federal Public Safety/Security or Law Enforcement licensure as required
• 5 years of managerial experience in Public Safety, Law Enforcement, or a related field
• Strong organizational, personnel, communication, and computer skills
• Progressive experience with security, safety, access control, surveillance technology, hazardous materials, and emergency management

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related public safety field of study
• State or federal license in a related field
• 5 years of executive management experience in a related field
• Direct experience in healthcare public safety with knowledge of Joint Commission and CMS requirements regarding patient safety
