About the role

The Manager Public Relations 2 will lead the program communicator team, reporting to the director of Strategic Communications, and be based in Melbourne, Florida; Palmdale, California; or El Segundo, California. The role requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret or Top Secret clearance (with Program Special access) and involves approximately 10% travel. Relocation assistance is not provided. Responsibilities

• Lead the program communicator team, prioritize workload, and develop and mentor team members.
• Support the strategy and execution of external‑facing communications.
• Lead the team responsible for creation of content for business focus areas and priorities.
• Partner with communications colleagues to develop a holistic and integrated communication strategy to achieve business and communication goals.
• Prepare and share metrics on communications efforts and leverage results to evolve strategies and approaches to achieve business objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing or a related field with ≥7 years of experience managing and leading external‑facing communications projects, channels, or campaigns; OR a Master’s degree in the same fields with ≥5 years of such experience.
