Roles And Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the proposal management team by setting clear expectations, coaching proposal professionals, aligning resources to priorities, and building a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee proposal operations and process excellence across the full lifecycle of government proposals, improving tools, templates, workflows, compliance practices, review processes, and submission readiness.
- Directly manage proposals for complex and high-priority opportunities, including schedules, compliance matrices, kickoff and status meetings, content plans, review cycles, and final submission activities.
- Partner across the business to support growth by working closely with business development, pricing, contracts, technical teams, and leadership to ensure proposal readiness, clear decision-making, and strong execution.
- Ensure high-quality deliverables by driving disciplined reviews, maintaining proposal standards and templates, performing compliance and quality checks, and reducing submission risk through proactive oversight.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, English, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered
- 7+ years of relevant federal proposal management experience including responsibility for complex federal proposals.
- 3+ years of experience leading proposal teams and/or supervising proposal professionals in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong knowledge of proposal lifecycle management, including compliance, review, and submission procedures.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional proposal teams, including business development, pricing, contracts, and technical subject matter experts.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in fast-paced environment.
- Excellent leadership, communication, facilitation, and organizational skills.
- Exceptional Strong writing, editing, project management, and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat and proposal management, collaboration, and document control tools.
Pay
Pay Range $128,900 - $161,000
The salary range is intended as a general guideline and is not a guaranteed offer, as compensation depends on various factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate qualifications, experience, internal equity, and market conditions.
