Manager, Project Operations

For our client, we are seeking a Manager, Project Operations to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space. This role will oversee a portfolio of projects and ensure the right project management coverage, workload balance, and delivery discipline across multiple concurrent initiatives. The manager will strengthen governance, improve operational metrics, and help identify and address systemic risks that could affect execution quality. This position also partners closely with cross-functional stakeholders to enhance PMO tools, processes, and team development while supporting high-impact service delivery in a fast-moving technology environment. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $110,000 – $130,000 annually Responsibilities Own the project portfolio, ensuring project manager assignment and workload balance Execute portfolio delivery assurance and identify systemic risks Standardize governance practices across all PM-led projects Own operational delivery metrics and analyze trends for improvement Lead PMO tooling and process improvements with cross-functional stakeholders Build project management talent pipelines and drive development plans Handle escalations with urgency and maintain quality standards Qualifications Bachelor's degree required 8+ years of project management experience 3+ years leading a team of project managers 2+ years managing HCM, Payroll, or Benefits implementations Experience with portfolio-level oversight across multiple concurrent projects Knowledge of HR, Benefits, Payroll, and Payroll Tax areas PMP Certification or equivalent required Benefits Remote work capability Opportunities for continuous development and improvement Collaborative culture fostering accountability and learning Involvement in high-impact projects across various services Potential for career advancement in managing teams and portfolios Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
