About the role
We are seeking a Project Manager for Operations who will play a critical role in bringing Exol’s automation solutions to life.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary operations liaison across Automation, Engineering, IT, Facilities, and Staffing throughout the facility launch lifecycle — from construction turnover through steady-state operations.
- Facilitate cross-functional meetings, providing clear and consistent updates to both internal and external stakeholders to keep projects on track.
- Develop process flows, labor models, and staffing plans that connect automation system design to operational headcount requirements.
- Lead cross-functional teams through the execution phase of the project, from early site preparation and coordination to final system acceptance, while maintaining a strong focus on project goals.
- Build readiness checklists and operational acceptance criteria that define what “ready to operate” means for each team before go-live.
- Conduct post-launch performance analysis to close the loop between design intent and actual results.
- Foster a culture built on transparency, timely decision-making, and strong partnerships across all project participants.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing large automation, material handling, or construction projects.
- Proven experience in scheduling, scope, cost, and risk management for complex technical projects.
- Background in robotic automation, ASRS, or material handling preferred.
- Experience managing design/building, installation, and construction projects.
- Skilled at stakeholder management across clients, contractors, and engineering teams.
- Track record of delivery on time and within budget.
- Strong problem-solving under pressure and ability to implement creative solutions.
- Effective negotiator with proven ability to balance competing priorities.
- Proficient with scheduling software, earned value management, and data-driven performance tracking (Smartsheet / Jira).
