Manager Program Implementation, Grant Management
About the role
We are seeking a Manager Program Implementation, Grant Management to join our Medi-Cal & CalAIM team. This role is full office and requires working within the State of California, with at least two days per week in the main office in Orange, CA. The ideal candidate will oversee daily operations, manage grant programs, and collaborate with various departments to ensure compliance and effective grantmaking processes.
Responsibilities
- Oversight of daily operations of the department's programs
- Design, development, and implementation of select CalOptima Health grant programs
- Managing daily activities within the grants management lifecycle, including grant applications, awards, and close-out
- Collaborating with business owners, Finance, Office of Compliance, and senior leadership to ensure efficient grantmaking processes
- Overseeing grant projects, reporting, financial tracking, and record keeping
- Partnering with CalOptima Health's departments to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies such as the Department of Health Care Services
- Interacting with all levels of CalOptima Health's staff to collaborate across departments, integrate programs, and contribute to process improvements
- Supporting senior leadership in activities requiring collaboration with CalOptima Health's staff, members, providers, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in health administration, public health, psychology, sociology, public relations, applied or community health, organizational leadership, or related field
- 5 years of experience at a grantmaking organization that awards funding to grantees and oversees grant administration
- 3 years of progressive leadership experience, including direct supervision of staff
Qualifications
- Master's degree preferred
- 2 years of experience in a government or public environment, preferably in Medicare and Medi-Cal programs

Pay
The pay grade for this role is 314, with a range of $99,902 - $159,843 ($48.03 - $76.8476) annually. Final salary offered will be based on education, job-related knowledge and experience, skills relevant to the role, and internal equity among other factors.
Schedule
This role is full office and requires working within the State of California, with at least two days per week in the main office in Orange, CA. If telework is approved, you are required to work within the State of California only.
