About the Opportunity: The Manager, Professional Services - Application Development leads a development team responsible for client-facing implementations of an insurance software platform. This role oversees technical design, application development, integrations, and project delivery within a billable professional services environment. The position plays a key role in customer satisfaction, technical quality, team performance, and successful implementation outcomes. Responsibilities: • Lead, coach, and mentor a high-performing application development team.• Hire, onboard, develop, and retain team members.• Establish, communicate, and monitor departmental goals and performance objectives.• Enforce company policies and support performance management processes.• Foster a team culture aligned with organizational strategy, values, and professional standards.• Communicate regularly with team members, customers, stakeholders, and leadership.• Manage team financial activities, utilization, and resource planning.• Build and maintain trusted relationships with customers and key stakeholders.• Oversee technical quality and successful delivery of client-facing implementation projects.• Support individual contributor development and technical delivery activities as needed. Requirements: • Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.• Experience delivering client-facing software implementations within a professional services or consulting environment.• Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming and system integration principles.• Ability to translate business requirements into effective technical designs and solutions.• Experience promoting code quality, development standards, and modern software engineering practices.• Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and stakeholder requirements in a fast-paced environment.• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.• Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and customer relationship skills.
