Manager, Production
Job Summary
Manager, Production is responsible for implementation of aseptic filling lines and overall management, direction, and coordination of production personnel and processes. Areas of responsibility include formulation, component preparation, aseptic filling, capping, and lyophilization.
Responsibilities
- Oversees scheduling, incoming quality control, production operations, quality assurance, engineering, maintenance, equipment validation, training, investigations of non-conformities, laboratory testing contacts, and product release.
- Works closely with Validations management, Technology Center, and other support departments during implementation process of new equipment.
- Establishes goals for each aspect of the operation and develops and implements efficient methods and processes to meet those goals.
- Trains and develops the team to improve skills, teamwork, and ability to produce high-quality injectable pharmaceutical products.
- Understands technical aspects of production operation and troubleshoots equipment, process flow, and product issues.
- Develops key performance indicators and measures production results to identify ways to improve product quality, process deviation, scrap rates, labor utilization, regulatory compliance, and product yields.
- Ensures timely production and resource allocation by reducing bottlenecks and work-in-progress.
Requirements
- Strong leadership skills and technical aptitude.
- Desire to work in a fast-paced, cutting-edge pharmaceutical plant.
- Project leadership skills required.
- Experience with implementing new production lines preferred.
- History of progressive leadership positions in an FDA-regulated Pharmaceutical Manufacturing environment preferred.
- Previous experience in Aseptic Pharmaceutical Manufacturing preferred.
- Strong communication skills.
- Bachelor’s Degree in life sciences or engineering discipline preferred.
- 5+ years of experience with 1+ years of experience in a management role.
