About the role
The Process Safety Management & Risk Management Manager oversees the PSM and RMP programs for the Lubrizol Deer Park and Bayport facilities. Responsibilities include managing PSM and RMP compliance, leading a team of Process Safety Engineers, facilitating PHAs, LOPAs, and other assessments, and participating in regulatory audits.
Responsibilities
- Manage overall PSM and RMP programs at Deer Park and Bayport sites
- Assist Site Leadership Team in identifying and addressing process safety hazards
- Assign areas/units of responsibility and activities to Process Safety Engineers
- Facilitate PHAs, LOPAs, and other safety assessments
- Review and approve Management of Change requests
- Manage Corporate Risk Register and ensure leadership signoffs
- Host and participate in regulatory audits
- Lead/site efforts towards Siting Studies, Area Classification, and other process safety initiatives
- Maintain and update site Process Safety Manual and PSM procedures
- Train staff on critical safety procedures and changes
- Contribute to HSES Staff and Engineering Standards Steering Team meetings
- Participate in technical committees related to process safety
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering
- 15+ years' experience at a refining or chemical manufacturing site
- 10+ years' experience in Process Safety Management and Risk Management Planning
- Proficiency in leading PHAs and developing site PSM element programs
- Expertise with OSHA PSM and EPA RMP regulations
- Microsoft Office proficiency
- Ability to work collaboratively with various departments
