About the role
This role is responsible for leading the development, design, and execution of pricing strategies that drive profitable growth and operational efficiency. As a key partner to operations, sales, and executive leadership, you will lead a team of Pricing Analysts and Logistics Engineers to design optimized transportation solutions, build pricing models, and deliver data-driven recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Lead and develop a team of Pricing Analysts and Transportation Network Engineers supporting new and existing business initiatives
- Design and Pricing Strategy: Guide end-to-end design and pricing projects, including scope definition, modeling, analysis, and execution
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate closely with operations, sales, and finance leaders to ensure alignment between pricing strategies and business objectives
- Financial Ownership: Share accountability for financial performance of new and existing business opportunities derived from pricing and engineering initiatives
- Modeling and Optimization: Leverage network modeling tools and analytical techniques to identify efficiencies, optimize routes, and drive cost improvements
- Customer and Leadership Presentations: Lead internal and external presentations of pricing strategies, proposals, and engineered solutions
- Proposal Development: Create pro formas, KPIs, pricing summaries, and customer-facing proposal documents for rate submissions
- Contract Coordination: Partner with Legal to develop and modify transportation agreements, including schedules and amendments
- Cost Validation: Collaborate with FP&A and Equipment Solutions teams to validate cost allocations, equipment pricing, and financial assumptions
- Continuous Improvement: Drive process improvements across pricing and design methodologies, tools, and outputs
- Accountability & Reliability: Maintain regular and reliable attendance while performing other duties as assigned to support team and business needs
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent industry experience will be considered
- Industry Experience: 5–10 years of experience in the trucking industry, demonstrated experience in dedicated truckload pricing required
- Pricing and Modeling Expertise: Experience building and managing pricing models, knowledge of fixed and variable cost structures, margin analysis, and cost modeling, experience with one-way and hybrid pricing models, understanding of equipment depreciation and financial modeling related to transportation assets
- Network Design Experience: Hands-on experience with network optimization and route modeling, ability to assess trade-offs and compare optimized models to drive decisions
- Technical Skills: Advanced Excel skills required, including experience with complex models and VBA tool, experience with network modeling software (e.g., Direct Route or similar tools)
- Leadership and Communication: Proven ability to lead teams and influence senior stakeholders, strong presentation skills for both internal leaders and customer-facing engagements, ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

$95,512 - $152,820 Starting Wages (Pay Bi-Weekly)
